A few children this week have been learning how many different ways they could make 5 using unifix cubes. They then wrote the different ways on their whiteboards. Kai pai - what a lot of great learning was going on!
We are a great bunch of New Entrant children who love learning and working together in a team! Check out what we get up to in Nifty Nine...
R is for Racing Car
Our letter this week is R. Room 5 has also been learning about the letter R. Aston's Dad bought his Racing Car into school. We got to have a look inside and listen to the engine roar. It was very loud!
K is for Kites
Today we made Kites using plastic bags and string. We decorated them with pictures of Kites and the letter K and added some sparkly string. We then took our kites outside and flew them in the breeze.
Letter B
For our Letter of the Week B we had a go at bubble painting. It was tricky to get the bubbles to come up to the top and not bubble over the top. It was heaps of fun. The we all got to plant our own bean seed. Hopefully they grow big and tall and we can take them home and plant them in our gardens.
Welcome Flynn and Isaac
We have two new faces in Nifty Nine. Flynn and Isaac started school this Monday and we hope they have a great time here at Parkland School.
Hot Air Balloons
Mrs Hildred was at a course today, so we had Mrs Forrest in Room 9. She helped us make Hot Air Balloons for our Letter H activity. Thanks Mrs Forrest! It was also Mufti Day. Can you guess from the pictures what we want to be when we grow up???
F is for Fish
Today for our Letter of the Week activity, we made Fishbowls using our handprint as the fish. It was fun and tickly when Mrs Hildred painted our hand orange!!!
