Campfires and Marshmallows
Today for our Letter C activity we went over to the Kindy to have a Campfire. We learnt all about keeping safe around fire and then we got to toast marshmallows. Yum Yum!!!!
Capacity
Today we finished our capacity unit by exploring with the water trough and a variety of different containers. There was lots of good talking going on.
Swimming Notice
Please look out for the blue notice in your child's book bag today. It contains important information about our swimming programme next week!
Art Exhibition
We have been busy getting our artwork ready for Parkland School's Art Exhibition in week 3. We have been experimenting with watercolour paint and vivid. They look very colourful!
Values Posters
Over the holidays we had some Values posters put up around the school. Elijah features in one of these posters. Can you find it around school?
Holidays
I hope you have all been enjoying the holidays and are ready for another fun term at school. While you have been away, the builders have been busy putting up our new archgola outside Room 9. I can't wait to have our lunch outside on a nice day!
Telling the Time
We have been learning all about time and how to tell o'clock times. Today we made our own clock so we can practise telling the time in the holidays.
Elijah's Wonderful Writing
Elijah has been working hard to improve his writing. Today he wrote a great story all by himself. Ka pai Elijah. Keep up the great writing!!!
S is for Stripy Snakes
Today we made some stripy, slithering snakes. It was quite hard cutting around the lines but we all managed to do it by ourselves.
Eddy Elephant
Today for our Letter of the Week we made Eddy Elephant masks. We had to colour in, then cut it out and finally we added a party blower for his trunk. We sang along to the Eddy Elephant song with our masks. We also had a cuddle with Elmo!
Hiwi The Kiwi
This afternoon we had the Minstrel come and teach us an important lesson about fishing. We learnt that we must always wear a life jacket when fishing and to put small fish back in the ocean so they can grow bigger. He was very funny and we had a great time!
